    Fellow College Republicans,

    With the August 3rd primary now behind us, it is time for our club and our members to rally around our Republican candidates. We have a unique opportunity this fall to affect real change in both our State and Federal government, and it is not a chance we will let pass. From Congressional races like Tim Walberg’s fight to defeat Spendocrat Mark Schauer in the 7th District to the battle to Reinvent Michigan with our next Governor, Rick Snyder, the College Republicans will be on the ground helping these campaigns bring common sense conservative ideals back to government.

    Along with our increased activism, the College Republicans are preparing to bring in a wide array of speakers to dialogue with you, our members, about the GOP and conservatism. Our club is a bastion for the Republican youth on campus, and we are striving to do all we can to make it a dynamic and engaging group for all those involved.

    I am looking forward to seeing all of you at our table on the Diag for Festifall, and encourage you to tell anyone you know who is sick and tired of the false promise of “Hope and Change” to stop by as well. We will be announcing our first meeting of the year in the coming weeks, and are very excited for to start the school year with a bang.

    We are excited to announce that today we have finally launched a fully functional online store and donation option! We recently created a new PayPal account so contributing to the organization can be done safely and efficiently through the website. The new online donation and shopping options will work in conjunction with our 2010 donation letters that will continue to be sent out over the next few months. This capital campaign will allow us to raise the money necessary for group events and getting our conservative message out on campus.

    If you know of any generous individuals that would be willing to make a contribution to the group, please send me their information, including a full name and address to Jeff Denooyr at jdenooyr@umich.edu. Donations can also be directed to the Donations page of the website.
