Fellow College Republicans,
I want to first start off by thanking all of you that were able to attend the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference this past weekend. We had a tremendous turnout and the UMCRs were of great benefit to several candidates throughout the course of the Conference. I was approached several times and was told how much of a difference all of your efforts made for several campaigns. It is with events like these that our chapter continues to gain prominence statewide. You should all be proud of yourselves and I thank you again for representing not only the UMCRs, but the University of Michigan as a whole.
With the Conference behind us, I want to further encourage you all to get involved with at least one of our club’s committees. If you were unaware, the Executive Board has formed a Fundraising, Marketing and Recruitment, and Issues Committee all with specific objectives to help spread our conservative message across campus. We have already seen great enthusiasm and would like to keep involvement high so if you have any questions of how to get involved please attend our next Mass Meeting on the September 27th.
Finally, I encourage all of you who will be seeking political or governmental internships this summer to come visit our office hours. We do our best to set members up with opportunities that we have learned about through our volunteering efforts and relationships the College Republicans have established over the years.
